Ecclesiastes 3:1

"For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven"
A friend of mine has been struggling with making a big decision. Her family wants her to move up north to be closer to them,
but she wasn't sure whether or not she was ready to leave her job and her friends here.
She made some phone calls to inqure about jobs and housing closer to her family,
but all the answers she recieved only made her feel more uneasy about the move.
She went to visit a friend of hers and, as she walked inside the house, she noticede a plaque
on the front door that had this verse from Ecclesiastes written on it, "For everything
there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." Immediately she began to feel peace.
She felt in her heart that God was telling her that this was not her time to move, that He
has a time and a place for her to do His work, and for the time being it would be here.
God sends us encouraging signs all the time. Scripture is all around us, as God looks over us
in our times of struggle, grief, and happiness. All we need to do is keep our eyes and ears open
to God's word, and remember that God has a time and a place for everything we do, as long as
we do it in His name, following His will.
